Don't Worry 'Bout Me

He knew she had something to tell him
As he gazed into her big blue eyes
When she spoke the words its over
He begged her to tell him why

She told him she was no longer happy
And her love had slowly grown cold
She had decided to leave in the morning
As she couldnt keep playing this role

Her nights had been filled with troubled sleep
As she dreamed of their loving past
She searched for reasons why she felt this way
To explain why her love didn't last

He could feel that her love was now over
As they sat talking throughout the night
He desired to kiss her just one more time
And to hold her body tight

He could not help but vow his love
And promised for her it would live
Trying desperately in his heart to understand
Why no explanation his wife could give

For one last time he drew her in his arms
As tears rolled freely down his cheeks
With a trembling voice he made a last request
Please darling, don't pity me

Come daylight it was time to leave her home
And she turned to slowly hand him the key
As he watched her turn and walk away
He whispered, don't worry 'bout me
