Eyes Of The Stars

Down the winding road I traveled
On a dark and lonely night
An eery feeling was in the air
As the stars were the only light

Behind the clouds the moon was hiding
As if afraid to show its face
When suddenly I was no longer alone
And my heart began to race

Slowly I pulled to the side of the road
As gentle words whispered in my ear
Just turn your eyes to the sky
And to you I will appear

I could not believe this was happening
Surely it was all a dream
How could these feelings be so real
Things could not be the way it seemed

As the stars were shining brightly
Faces appeared in the night sky
Of all my departed loved ones
Saying 'you needn't ask us why'

Please listen to our words to you
For it is the truth we speak
We are in a heavenly place
And one that you should seek

We know you love and miss us
And we feel the same way too
We are never far away
For we're always watching you

This is only a story of fantasy
But one that could be very true
Look up on a star lit night
For this may just happen to you
