Today you were admitted to the hospital
And as you live so very far away
I can't be there as you enter surgery
But I want you to know I will pray
You are such a dear and sweet friend
A man who is so very much loved
By people from all around the world
Who also send prayers to God above
Each one would be there by your side
Tending to each of your many needs
If only the miles were a bit closer
Our faces you would awake to see
I know the girls Trudy, Janet, and Cindy
Will take care of you the best they can
And as they are concerned and worried
They also know you are a very strong man
It may be days before this poem you see
As your recovery may take awhile
But when this page opens and loads
I hope it brings a great big smile
Yes Val, for you we are here praying
That all goes well for you this day
And as we send our thoughts of love
Many big hugs are also on there way
So take care and listen to the doctor
As he knows what's best for you
And soon you'll be back well again
