Happy Birthday My Special Friend


This the third day of the second month
When the snow is still on the ground
A joyous celebration is occurring
Birthday wishes are passed around

The months have quickly come and gone
And as you add another candle to a cake
I'm sending loving Happy Birthday wishes
And no hon, this is no mistake

Our friendship is still so very new
As I met you only a few years ago
Reading and listening to your words
I realized so much I did not know

Early each morn with coffee in hand
I pull up a chair to start my day
Booting up the faithful computer
To see just what you have to say

A warm hello hon, and how are you
Are words that I long to hear
To know that you are doing fine
Calms my deepest and darkest fears

The unselfish acts you do for others
Can be heard throughout the land
Known as a person of great compassion
A man who is willing to take a stand

You are the greatest poet I know
This a fact applauded by the net
Expressions of your inner thoughts
Amazed me the first time we met

A glass of red wine and a candle aglow
I wish for you a very rewarding year
May all your prayers be answered
And your future be one of great cheer

Hon, do not take these words lightly
For I truly mean each one I say
