I would like to take this time to wish each and everyone a very Happy and blessed Thanksgiving. May this day be one of great happiness and celebration. May the warmth of love fill your heart.
This time of year is spent giving thanks to the good Lord above for our many blessings. We need to thank him not only on this day but each day of our life. Without him these blessings would not exist.
We should spend time making memories that will last a life time but sometimes it is not possible. Many families will be separated on this day.
For all our military I send prayers and wishes that this day will be a safe one for you and just know I salute and thank you for your bravery. May you soon rejoin your family as we pray for peace.
Please do not forget our elderly in the nursing homes. Some may no longer remember you but take the time to go and visit them anyway. They are still part of your family and should be shown love and respect.
Also, we must remember the ones who are unable to leave their homes and need someone to stop by and say hello and show that indeed people do care and that they are not alone.
So many are homeless on this day and in need of a warm bed and a nourishing meal. Lend a helping hand as many of the shelters feed and house the ones that are not financially able to afford a home and meal.
Share a smile and heartfelt words with the less fortunate as you count your many blessings God has bestowed upon you.
I feel this is the time that we make peace with one another. Many friends and families have been torn apart by foolish acts and words. How many people die each year holding a grudge against someone ? If you have been hurt by anyone this is the time to forgive and forget no matter how hard it may be.
I'm sorry are two little words that sometimes are very hard to say but can make a big difference in life.
As many travel across the miles to see friends and loved ones I want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you for a safe journey. May the wings of angels be ever present by your side and God's grace shower you with blessings.
