Waking early to a day of beautiful sunshine
And a feeling of cool crispness in the air
I climbed from beneath my cozy sheets
Searching for something warm to wear
Grabbing a big cup of my favorite coffee
And sitting down to check my online mail
I recalled the writings of my poetry
And knew this to you I should tell
To me each of you are so very special
And I appreciate the things you do
As your messages say, 'I love the poem'
Or, 'when are you writing something new'
You have no idea how much it does mean
To know you think it is worth reading
As some days my words have no rhyme
And my thoughts can be so misleading
You have given me the courage to write
As you tell me, 'I can relate to that'
'I can see the beauty you describe'
While in my old rocking chair I sat
My mailing list has grown even longer
Because you took the time to share
My work with friends and family
That shows me how much you care
So, this poem is written from me to you
And I thank each person so very much
For reading my poetry I've put together
As you support me like a faithful crutch
These words I have written from my heart
As to each of you I send lots of love
For making my website so very successful
