The Thanksgiving dinner was finally over
And time for me to get ready and busy
But I was full and oh so very stuffed
And my old stomach was in a big tizzy
My black belt I could not even fasten
And putting on my boots was a task
As once more I needed a quick relief
So, I reached for a brandy in a flask
I soon began to feel a little better
And decided I needed a bit of fun
So I acted as a childish young boy
Something now I wish I hadn't done
The night was so dark with a chilly wind
And the reindeer were all set to go
But since I'd eaten and drank to much
My old feeble body did sway to and fro
While taking my sleigh for a test drive
It crashed as I circled the big moon
Why didn't I heed my wife's warning
When she said Santa it's way to soon
Looking at me in such great amazement
Rudolph wondered what he would now do
And as he talked with the other deer
They laughed as away they quickly flew
Tonight I will sleep high upon this moon
Grasping a Christmas list in my hand
Dreaming of the places I will soon visit
When I make my trip around all the land
Old Santa has shared his holiday warning
If you do over eat and drink at dinner
Don't be careless and go out and drive
Because you may not come out a winner
