Lost In Your Eyes

The morning shadows peeked through the blinds
As she recalled hurtful words he said
Didn't he realize how she loved him so
As she rose from her now lonely bed

Their love filled night had quickly passed
And once more he said they were through
His words fell heavy upon her soul
As her heart turned to shades of blue

She felt guilt from treating him badly
Always thinking their love would last
When would he finally forgive her
Closing the curtain on all that was past

His eyes the color of blue sparkling skies
He had charmed her heart and soul
Why now would he not say he loved her
Was it true his love had grown cold

Now she stood pleading for him not to leave
To please stay and try just once more
Tears now fell from her sad brown eyes
As he turned and walked out the door

She knew in her heart there was another
All because she had lied and been untrue
Facing the reality of a final goodbye
As her brown eyes were now turning blue

To all women who have a loving husband
A good man that has stolen your heart
Cherish each special moment together
For you know not the day you may part
