Mr Bush Enough Is Enough
I listened with shock, grief and anger
As my heart filled up with fear
At the continued loss of all our troops
Was more than I wanted to hear
In just two fiery days the lives of twenty
Had been taken in a foreign land
Just what was this president thinking
I would love to know and understand
He sits protected in his white house
By guards who watch and wait
No one will cause him bodily harm
As they patrol the capitol gate
Each day goes by while many die
As we watch the world going mad
The killing and destruction of innocent lives
Unnecessary and so very sad
Did we really have reason to go to war
I understand people need a better life
But was it worth the grief left for us to bear
Losing husbands, daughters, sons, and wife's
Mr. Bush it is time to regroup your thoughts
And realize that it is time to retreat
For too many lives have been lost in Iraq
While you sit on your presidential seat
The United States of America is my home
And I have loved it with all my heart
I stand proud and salute our troops and flag
And have felt this way from the start
As people gather from all over the world
Kneeling in prayer and asking for peace
Can you not find it in your heart
To end this war at the very least
One day the tears of sadness will be gone
As God calls us to his home up above
But until that time arrives Mr. Bush
Bring home our troops that we love

You may not agree with this poem but it is my feelings that we accomplished what we set out to do. Saddam is now in prison and the people of Iraq have a chance for a better life . It is now time to bring our troops home.
