Candle's flickering in the darkness
Sipping another glass of red wine
I put my pen to paper once more

Expressing my great love for you
Cherishing your warmth and beauty
While I cover my feelings of blue

The countless nights that I sit alone
I wonder just what you would say

My heart is full of passion and love

A beauty only to be compared
To the heavenly twinkling stars

Each lonely night as I lay sleeping

Only to find at the break of dawn

We met by chance on a starlit night
As you danced with my best friend
Stealing away my heart and soul
I prayed the night would not end

Years of wanting and loving you
Quickly racing to a fateful end
As my heart and body grow older
This loving message to you I send

On this earth I had told you never
The love and yearning in my heart
How I longed for us to be together

As I watch you from Heaven above
