The snow is melting from the mountains
As the sun peeks slowly through the clouds
A trickle of water flows through the rocks
Winter smiles as she takes her final bow
Birds can be heard chirping their song
And soon will begin building new nests
Laying their eggs to raise their young
Each one believing their home is the best
Fragrance of flowers now sweeten the air
As each blossom begins to unfold
Raising their petals to clear blue skies
With colors of red pink and gold
The grass has turned in its dullness
From drab to a bright shiny green
Crickets and insects crawl amongst it
Many hiding so as to not be seen
Sleeping bears awake from their slumber
From hibernation and long winters sleep
Searching through shrubs and forests
For nourishment their children can eat
What a joy to witness the arrival of spring
As lovers stroll through parks hand in hand
Whispering words of love for each other
With excitement as they make wedding plans
Spring is such a splendorous time of year
When all flowers and trees do bloom
Winter months have finally bid us farewell
With its promise to not return soon
As we approach the renewing of Gods earth
Let's each one of us search in our hearts
To treat Mother Nature with care and respect
Forever mindful that we need do our part
For too soon the season will be changing
Once again we'll face the cold wintry air
So lets all smile and enjoy the Springtime
While the weather is beautiful and fair
