When Are You Coming Home

Standing here in my new Easter attire
And holding my little white bunny
I wonder when are you coming home
You have been gone so long it isnt funny

The kids at school all have their Daddys
To laugh and play with each day
While I wonder why you had to leave
And here alone I had to stay

The news said there is a war going on
In a land where men are bad
Daddy want you please come home
So I will no longer be so sad

Mommy cries for you each night
And we all pray to God above
Oh Daddy when are you coming home
Can you feel how much you're loved

I miss your hugs and kisses Daddy
As you tuck me in at night
I dont understand just where you are
And why you had to go and fight

Just know I love you so much Daddy
And please come back home soon
For me and my little white bunny
Are watching along with the moon

As I stand here waiting for you
I hope you can hear my voice
Daddy when are you coming home
Are you staying away by choice

It is time now for me to go to bed
With my bunny and my book
I will be here again tomorrow Daddy
Standing at the window to take a look

I know one day you will return to us
And we will be happy once again
Just please make it soon Daddy
