When Jesus Comes Again

Many poems and pages are being written
Of a crucifixion, resurrection and birth
And the man that the stories are all about
Is Jesus, who walked the face of the earth

So many believe it to be just a fairy tale
But I know in my heart that it is no lie
And one day he will return to this earth
Stepping out on a white cloud in the sky

At that great moment as his face I do see
I'll be lifted up and not left here alone
As the great trumpet does sound its horn
Others will cry with a very chilling moan

The prophecy of the Bible is coming true
Just look around at this old world today
And you will see the scripture fulfilled
Or can you deny what the prophets do say

Maybe we turn our backs and don't realize
That the time is close and so very near
But on that day that he does come back
I want to meet Jesus with not one fear

A day called Good Friday is now passed
As tomorrow will be resurrection morn
The day he arose from a borrowed tomb
Leaving unbelievers fearful and forlorn

So celebrate Easter and enjoy your day
And gather with the family and friends
But as you color and hide the tiny eggs
Take time to rejoice and make amends

Reflect upon your life and try to recall
The last time you took the time to pray
And if the trumpet sounded his returning
Would you go with him or would you stay
